Method of application and dosage
Treatment of clinically manifest Fe deficiency (1 ml = 6 mg Fe):
Children under 1 year: 2.5–5 ml/day (15–30 mg Fe)
Children 1–12 years: 5–10 ml/day (30-60 mg Fe)
Children over 12 years, adults, and nursing women: 10–30 ml/day (60-180 mg Fe)
Pregnant women: 20–30 ml/day (100-150 mg Fe)
Treatment of latent Fe deficiency:
Children 1–12 years: 2.5–5 ml/day (15-30 mg Fe)
Children over 12 years, adults, and nursing women: 5–10 ml/day (30-60 mg Fe)
Pregnant women: 10 ml/day (50 mg Fe)
Prevention of Fe deficiency:
Pregnant women: 5–10 ml/day (30-60 mg)
