To perform the procedure, it is necessary to prepare phytocandles, a cotton napkin or handkerchief, cotton swabs, a glass of water, baby cream, cotton wool, and matches. In a lying position on the side (there should be a small pillow under the head), cover the head with a cotton napkin with a slit for the ear and perform a light massage of the auricle, having previously lubricated the skin with cream. The upper end of the phytocandle is lit, and the lower end, marked with a special mark, is carefully placed to the external auditory canal. The candle should burn down no further than the mark level, after which it must be extinguished in a glass of water. After the procedure, clean the ear with a cotton swab, cover it with something warm, and lie down for 10-15 minutes. After this time, the procedure can be performed with the second ear. It is recommended not to wet the head for several hours after using the candles. For chronic diseases, the course consists of 5-6 weekly sessions. For acute diseases — 1 time per day for 2-3 days.
