Laktobakterin sukhoy Orom instructions for use
Method of administration and dosage
The drug Lactobacterin is used orally for GIT diseases, and intravaginally for diseases of the female genital organs and for the purpose of preoperative and prenatal preparation.
Dissolve the contents of the vial with boiled water at room temperature at the rate of 5 ml (teaspoon) of water per 1 dose of the drug.
Preparation of the suspension: pour the required amount of water into a glass (in accordance with the number of doses indicated on the vial); open the vial by removing the cap and stopper; transfer a small amount of water from the glass to the vial; after dissolution (the drug dissolves in no more than 5 minutes, forming a homogeneous suspension of yellowish-beige or whitish-gray color), transfer the contents of the vial to the same glass and stir. One teaspoon of the drug dissolved in this way constitutes 1 dose. For children, the contents of the vial are dissolved at the rate of 1 ml per 1 dose of the drug. For convenience of dissolving the drug and extracting it from the vial, it is permissible to use a 5 ml medical syringe.
For GIT diseases, the drug should be taken 40-60 minutes before meals and preferably washed down with milk. During the period of therapy with the drug, it is recommended to take vitamins. The daily dose and duration of the treatment course are determined by the doctor depending on the clinical form of the disease and the severity of intestinal dysbiosis.
For GIT diseases, the drug Lactobacterin is used in the following daily doses:
Children under 6 months: 3 doses 2 times a day;
Children from 6 months to 1 year: 3 doses 3 times a day;
Children from 1 to 3 years: 5 doses 2 times a day;
Children over 3 years and adults: 5 doses 2-3 times a day.
The duration of therapy with the drug Lactobacterin for various diseases/conditions is:
- for the restoration of normal intestinal microflora during the convalescence period after acute intestinal infections (AII) or foodborne toxicoinfections (in the presence of clinical symptoms of intestinal dysfunction or the isolation of pathogenic or opportunistic flora) - at least 4 weeks;
- for chronic colitis of various etiologies, including ulcerative colitis - up to 2 months;
- for intestinal dysbiosis due to prolonged antibacterial, hormonal, radiation or chemotherapy, as well as other reasons - 3-4 weeks.
In the absence of an effect from the use of the drug for 2 weeks, a re-examination of the GIT microflora and its correction with other drugs, depending on the result obtained, is necessary.
To consolidate the clinical effect obtained or in the absence of complete normalization of the microflora after the end of the treatment course, for diseases occurring with relapses, repeated courses of treatment are advisable. In these cases, a re-examination of the microflora is necessary before prescribing the drug.
For the purpose of restoring normal vaginal microflora after antibacterial therapy for bacterial vaginosis, non-specific inflammatory diseases of the female genital organs, the drug Lactobacterin is administered intravaginally at 5 doses 2 times a day for 10-12 days.
For the purpose of preventing postpartum and postoperative infectious diseases when preparing for planned gynecological operations, diagnostic invasive procedures or during the prenatal preparation of pregnant women from the risk group - 5 doses 1 time per day for 7-8 days. Treatment should be carried out under the control of the restoration of vaginal microflora (smear for flora of I-II degree of purity) and the disappearance of clinical symptoms.
