Method of administration and dosage
For external use only. A few drops of bitter almond oil are added to a base oil (e.g., almond, olive, jojoba) for aromatherapy or to cosmetic products. The concentration should be very low (no more than 1%). Do not apply to the skin in its pure form.
Side effects
When applied externally in undiluted form or in high concentration, skin irritation, redness, itching, allergic reactions are possible. If ingested, it can cause poisoning due to the content of hydrocyanic acid.
Contraindications
Individual intolerance, pregnancy, lactation period, childhood. Do not use on damaged skin, in case of eczema, dermatitis. Do not take internally.
Special instructions
Before use, it is necessary to perform a sensitivity test on a small area of skin. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. Keep out of reach of children. Bitter almond oil is not intended for food purposes.
