Method of administration and dosage Parenteral (IV or IM) 1 ml of 1% 2–3 times a day for pellagra; dosages and regimens — as prescribed by a physician depending on the diagnosis. Side effects Hyperemia and sensation of heat (skin redness), decrease in blood pressure, tachycardia, tingling; with systemic use — rarely — gastrointestinal and liver disorders. Contraindications Hypersensitivity, acute ulcerative processes in the GI tract (use with caution for oral forms), severe liver failure. Special instructions Redness reactions may occur with injection; monitor blood pressure and liver function during long-term use.
