Pharmacological Properties: L-Ornithine: A key amino acid substrate in liver enzymatic reactions (urea cycle) that converts toxic metabolic waste, primarily ammonia, into non-toxic water-soluble urea excreted by the kidneys. It stimulates protein synthesis in the liver by increasing polyamine production (RNA, DNA, and protein synthesis regulators). It also participates in the biosynthesis of glutamate, α-ketoglutarate, and proline, aiding in liver cell maintenance and regeneration. Exhibits detoxifying, hypoazotemic, hepatoprotective, and hypoammonemic effects. Silymarin: A complex of flavonoid compounds derived from milk thistle. Exhibits regenerating, detoxifying, hepatoprotective, antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory effects. It strengthens cell membranes, stimulates structural and functional protein/phospholipid synthesis (via RNA polymerase A stimulation), prevents intracellular component loss, and interrupts lipid peroxidation by neutralizing free radicals. Enhances liver detoxification, possesses choleretic properties, and aids with constipation. Used globally for liver/gallbladder conditions (steatosis, steatohepatitis, alcoholic and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, cholestasis, toxic/drug-induced hepatitis). Artichoke: Contains cynarin, caffeic acid, mineral salts, polysaccharides (up to 80% inulin), pectin, tannins, organic acids, potassium, and vitamins A, B1, B2, C. Polyphenolic derivatives (cynarin, chlorogenic, and caffeic acids) stimulate bile secretion and flow, exert anti-inflammatory effects, and promote toxin/metabolite elimination. Enhances hepatic detoxification (promotes binding of glucuronic and sulfo-groups, increasing excretion of heavy metals, alkaloids, nitrates, and alcohol). Positively impacts lipid, cholesterol, and ketone body metabolism. Indications: Rehabilitation period following acute viral liver damage Adjunctive therapy in lipid metabolism disorders Prevention of liver and biliary tract disorders Toxic liver injury (induced by aminoglycosides, tetracyclines, immunosuppressants, NSAIDs, antitubercular drugs, barbiturates, or tranquilizers) Alcohol-related liver damage (including chronic alcoholism and acute ethanol poisoning) Dosage and Administration: Adults and children aged 12 and older: 1 tablet 1–2 times daily, orally, after meals.
