The preparation is taken orally, dissolved in a small amount of water or other liquid. Side effects When used in recommended doses, side effects occur rarely. In some cases, the following may occur: nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, constipation, diarrhea, headache, muscle and joint pain, increased calcium levels in the blood and urine.
